As La Posta begins its 79th year serving our local families and the many visitors to Mesilla, we think about all of the past Easters and traditions we’ve seen over the decades and count ourselves so lucky to be a part of so many people’s lives again this year! On the other end of the Mesilla Plaza from us, our Basilica de San Albino, prepares to welcome in the most important week in Catholicism beginning with Holy Thursday.

Easter weekend is one of the most family-busy weekends of the entire year at La Posta as family members from out of town travel back to our Mesilla Valley to spend time with family and friends. It’s a time for feasting and enjoying each other’s company. We have welcomed many of you and your families over the last 79 years…and look forward to seeing you this Easter weekend as well….Please be sure to make a reservation!!!...if you can’t or forget, we’ll be sure to try and accommodate you if you just stop by!!

Of course, Easter weekend also means that it’s springtime. Yes, it gets windy, but we also begin seeing our lovely Patio flowers bloom once more. We see the first signs of plants in the chile fields too (our personal favorite), and we also begin seeing warmer days and pleasant evenings.

We hope you have a wonderful Easter with your friends and families. If you are able to join us, we welcome you. And if not, we hope to see you soon! From our family to yours, Felices Pascuas!
