Live Music

damian lunaDamián Luna familiarized his fingers to strum to the Latin style music that originally moved him, as a child. As a teenager, Damián was a member of the vibrant Mariachi de Oñate in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He was intrigued and originally musically influenced by the melodies of Mariachi Sol De Mexico. The special ensemble of Spanish Pop and Jazz, encouraged him to believe in the art of breaking music norms and becoming a true musical artist.

Damián uses the Spanish language and his unique guitar playing technique, he calls, “Mesillero Strum” to tell stories about being a Chicano. He vocally expresses life experiences, bilingualism, and multiculturalism, authentically from the heart. His smooth chord progressions stem from a mix of Pop and Mariachi music.

His musical roots have led him to perform several shows in the Southern New Mexico region. He was a featured musician in the three-day 2017 KRUXFEST line-up. Damián was also featured on the KRWG Music Spotlight for his original songs. In addition, he has performed in multiple venues and restaurants throughout the Southern New Mexico region.
